A Very UNIQUE Vintage Italian Turquoise Blue Murano Glass Table Lamp. With Carved Wood Base & Metal Flowers. The base and column neck above the glass are both made of carved (or perhaps lathed) wood. It looks like this was made to resemble an Italian plaster vase or planter, complete with what APPEARS to be chipped and cracked plaster. We took this lamp completely apart to inspect everything and make sure the wiring was correct and in this case... To VERIFY what the materials were and what everything was made of and whether there was any damage or if this was the artistic look. It turned out to be the latter. This is a SOLID piece meant to look like vintage plaster. The flowers, made of metal, are growing up to and around the iridescent blown blue swirled glass art piece. This was all painted gold and covered next with a turquoise paint.

This includes the brass neck below the harp. The gold paint peeks out throughout the lamp, including the finial. The finial is the only part we are unsure of. Though it matches beautifully with the rest of the lamp, (including the turquoise paint over gold paint) it's made of molded plastic. It actually adds an extra touch of elegance to the overall look of the lamp, and unless you hold it, you can't tell it's plastic.

The harp is marked "Wescal". There was a small sticker in between the two wood bases that we discovered when we took the lamp apart to inspect. We THINK it says 59h/6833 (or perhaps 68ss) in handwriting. We don't know if that means anything to anyone, but thought we would include it.
