2-Globe, Mid-Century Modern Table Lamp. Shades, Brass Necks, Ebonized Hardwood Base. In our family since the 1940's.
Dimensions: Base is a triangle with a 19" base and 11 1/2" sides. It is 33 1/4 Tall.
The conical shade is 12" Tall and has a 5" Diameter at the top and an 8 Diameter at the bottom. The "round" shade is 9 in Diameter at it's center. The shades are solid and in excellent condition. No rips, tears or stains. The round shade is bright and original light green. The plastic lacing is excellent except for 2 short missing stitches at the top I've included a detailed photo of this. The conical shade is also in excellent shape, with all its stitching and no tears.
When the bulbs are dark, the two shades are exactly the same shade (no pun intended) of green. When they are lit, the conical shade has developed a light brownish tinge. The necks are solid brass and have about 50% of their original bright, shiny finish. I have not tried polishing them. The base is ebonized hardwood.Still black, with some brown wood showing through. The wiring is solid and the switch works well. You can turn on the two bulbs together, or each one by itself. This Lamp is gorgeous, but it is about 73 years old, so don't expect it to look like you just brought it home from Macy's.
