Step 1: Hand-cut Glass Pieces. Each glass piece is cut by hand, then polish the edge before wrapping the copper foil. Step 2: Applying Copper Foil. The edges of the glass pieces are wrapped with adhesive copper tape. Glass pieces with different shapes are put together according to the pattern. The edges of the glass piece need to be soldered together for a firm hold.

Why Tiffany glass feels/sounds like plastic even though it is glass? The glass pieces are welded together with tin solder. As a result, the glass will not vibrate and make a sound of glass when knocked with fingers.
