It may be replaced with marble if that is your preference, but the stars are shining and bright. A note that the finish on the top shows wear commensurate with the age of this piece, please see the photos, this is an antique, not a remake. The top starred mirrored finish glass is stunning, and does show signs of use. The rope detailing is continued in the fine metal finish surrounding the top of the table and such wonderful workmanship is to be noted.

The flowing curves off the edge of the table are a gentle lead of your eye to the hand painted floral artwork on the center of this piece, which is accented by the mirrored top that does not compete. The gold surrounding the floral motif brings to life the patina and leads the eye to the lovely leaf design on the legs and down the elegant yet subtle feet. This has some weight for balance at the base and feet, which is important for something of such value. Such a lovely piece is a rare fine and will be a treasure in any room.
