This is in Overall Excellent Condition!!! Here is some information on the Artist. Joe Clearman creates each color from a witch's brew of chemicals. Then he blows it into art glass lamps.Special to The Sun , Joe Clearman makes glass the old-fashioned way. Using a list of components which reads like a formula from an advanced chemistry course, this Port Gamble glassblower creates wonderfully translucent, light- refracting glass. Walking through the storeroom of his workshop is like being an insect caught in a kaleidoscope of colors. Changing shades of blue, pink, mauve, green, purple, deep yellow and turquoise dance from the shelves.
Turn on one of his art glass lamps and it's like seeing the Grand Canyon at sunset. A blue lamp looks turquoise.
A purple lamp looks red, or orange or both. Every adjustment of light results in a color change. But even this nationally known creator cannot guarantee that two pieces of his art glass will look exactly the same. The best Joe Clearman can hope for is similar -but perfect. Perfect means an art glass lamp with shade and base in the right size and shape, with no air bubbles, no blemishes and a spectacular color which looks even better lit. And it means passing the inspection of Joe's chief critic, wife Vikki. Once he makes a piece, he never looks at it again, she says.(I ask myself) is this good enough to send out? It's a reflection of Joe, something he made, so you want it to be really beautiful -- the best it can be.
