This is one of Pittsburgh most sought after lamps, "THE CALL OF THE WILD". This is a rare version of this lamp because it has the lavender color in the shade versus the Topaz. The 18 chipped ice shade is reverse and obverse painted with beautiful scene with a teepee and a campfire. The shade is free of any chips, cracks or repairs.
This shade sits on a signed Pittsburgh "OWL" base and is signed on the weight plate P. The lamp is approximately 23 to the top of the finial and is equipped with 3 original Bryant pull chain sockets It is in working condition, wear commensurate with age. It has been rewired at sometime with a brown cloth period cord and old plug. It also has a dimmer which gives you 2 different illuminations. I have listed a picture of this lamp from the reference book Better Electric Lamps of the 20's and 30s.
Please view all the pictures as they are part of the description. Please view all the pictures and ask. Questions unanswered if you have any.
I have many other Pittsburgh lamps and bases so if you are looking for a particular lamp or base let me know and I'll try to get it listed. I NEED TO GET YOUR ZIP CODE TO ADJUST YOUR INVOICE. S Postal Service as I find them the safest shipper. Your invoice will be adjusted to your zip code. These items are commensurate with age, meaning they are old. Chances are if there aren't any, it's a newer item and you shouldn't want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence.
