Antique Leaded Glass Table Lamp By Unique

This is a large and impressive Apple Blossom leaded glass table lamp by the Unique Art Glass and Metal Company of Brooklyn, NY. For similar examples see Mosaic Shades by Paul Crist and Leadedlamps. This is one of their finer shades on their very rare hexagonal base. All of it is done in their best Tiffany like verde green patina.

Of all the fine makers, including Duffner, Handel, Riviere, etc. Unique came the closest to Tiffany in the quality of their patina. This base is a great example, 100% correct and with very little wear. The lead patina is worn is several spots and could use a touch up but the glass is tight with only a few tight heat cracks.

The pale green leaves contrast nicely with the pink flowers and the caramel background turns lighter at it reaches the top. Top quality all the way with great color and contrast. Overall an impressive an radiant lamp.

The base and shade are in good condition. The 2 piece heat cap is not Unique but is period. See the pictures for more detail. The shade is approx 22" wide and the base 30" tall. Or so depending on destination.
