Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. An original FRANKART Model #230 Table Lamp, circa 1920s-30s. New York, New York, produced nude dancing lady lamps, ashtrays, and other decorative Art Deco items in the 1920s and 1930s.
Nice example appearing to be the original paint with a nice crisp signature - unlike a lot of other lamp signatures that are barely readable because of multiple repaints. The lamp is decorated with two seductive nude figures embracing a crackle glass globe shade.
It is properly signed FRANKART INC. The lamp does work- we currently have it plugged into a dimmer receptacle which converts it into a touch lamp, giving it a selection of three different glows. We do highly recommend as with all used electrical items that electrical components be inspected by a qualified person before use.The lamp is in excellent antique condition with no mentionable issues other than light age and use related wear (nicks & paint loss and could use a cleaning). Other than a new switch on the backside, the lamp appears to be all original. Nice piece from the Art Deco Period! - - - - -. Most of the items we offer are either vintage collectibles or antiques and though we do try our best to point out any mentionable issues, as with all items of this nature, there may be slight imperfections or manufacturing characteristics of an item such as color nuances, bubbles, ash specks, tool or straw marks, etc.
