Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp Probably Miller, Bradley & Hubbard Pittsburgh style
This is a beautiful well proportioned Bent Slag Glass Lamp, probably by Miller Lamp Co. This lamp is unmarked but for "4G" on the bottom of the base. It stands 21 1/2 inches tall to the top of the shade support. The base is 8 1/2 inches in diameter with a nice flowered and wave patter sculpted into it. The entire lamp has a wonderful great patinated finish to it and is in excellent condition. The paint may have been touched up at some point. The 8 panel bent slag glass shade is all complete with no cracks or missing pieces and is in beautiful condition. The glass is a tasteful mixture of tan variegated slag glass above a green slag glass at the bottom. Sort of like a follow through with the overlay pattern with foliage over green grass. The shade is 15 - 16 inches in diameter, depending on measuring flats or corners and is 8 inches tall.
Check out the overlay photos for the really well sculpted scene. The column has a chased and sculpted pattern to it with a terrific look. The heavy base is iron (a magnet sticks) with a metal column. The lamp has been correctly rewired with and works perfectly.
